Climate drives ‘new era’ in Arctic Ocean – BBC News

Changes in the Arctic Ocean are so profound that the region is entering what amounts to “a new era”, according to Norwegian scientists.


These first signs of significant drops in biomass and biodiversity under thinner winter sea ice may be one of the portents that the sixth great extinction is real, is happening and may already have passed a tipping point for the Arctic.
